LTB Foundation Partners with College of Europe to Launch Scholarship for Bosnian Women

We are thrilled to announce that the Lidija Topic Bouwen Foundation has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of Europe, solidifying our commitment to empowering young women from Bosnia and Herzegovina to pursue their academic dreams. This MoU marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our foundation, as we prepare to award our first full scholarship for the academic year 2025-2026.

This partnership aims to provide financial support to one outstanding woman from Bosnia and Herzegovina each year, enabling her to study at one of the most prestigious institutions in Europe. Through this scholarship, we hope to not only alleviate the financial burden but also inspire more women from Bosnia and Herzegovina to pursue a world-class education at the College of Europe, empowering them to take on leadership roles in the European and international arenas.

The College of Europe is renowned for its dedication to fostering European integration and preparing future leaders who are committed to shaping a more united and inclusive Europe. With this scholarship, we aim to support students who share this vision, providing them with the opportunity to study in an environment that encourages excellence, collaboration, and cross-cultural understanding.

We are particularly excited to open the door for women, as the scholarship is specifically designed to encourage more women to apply to the College of Europe. We believe that through education, young women can gain the skills, knowledge, and network necessary to realize their potential and contribute to a stronger, more integrated Europe.

A Dream Come True

For many women, the idea of studying at the College of Europe may seem like an unattainable dream due to financial constraints or other barriers. It is our hope that this scholarship will help make that dream a reality for at least one exceptional student each year. The first scholarship recipient will begin her studies in the 2025-2026 academic year, and we are eager to see the impact she will have on her community and beyond.

The signing of the MoU is just the first step. We look forward to continuing our work to ensure that future generations of women from Bosnia and Herzegovina have the opportunity to pursue their academic and professional aspirations at the College of Europe. We are confident that this initiative will inspire many more women to apply for this prestigious program, paving the way for greater representation and leadership in Europe’s future.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the College of Europe for their support and collaboration in making this scholarship possible. Together, we are building a brighter future for European integration and for the talented women who will help shape it.
